Playbook Description:
If you take a look online at some of the most successful food trucks, you will see variations in the content they post. You will see videos, photos, and text. Some things will help, like hashtags, calls to action, and sharing someone else’s content is a staple for social media.
That’s just the normal activity you will see in your feed, but if you look closely at the big hitters online in the mobile food industry, you will see another thing. It is consistency. They are just like you: a normal human who is trying to do their best with the business they are working in.
Next to consistency is frequency. Look how often they are sharing content. You have the same 24 hours they do. In this issue, we will address the lack of consistent, frequent action. I’ll explain a little further in a moment.
Before we dive into how we apply this, let’s take a look at FOOD TRUCK OF THE WEEK! This will be a good shot of inspiration for you.

His Story
“My father was incarcerated for murder when I was 6 years old. I got misguided and led to the streets. Started selling drugs as well as using them. I got strung out at 15 years old on Percocet. Then upgraded to heroin at 18. I got my life together after going to jail for 2 years. I came home, worked my ass off, saved every dollar, invested in myself, and built a business.”
“If you YouTube, Building Bub's Grubs documentary video, it will tell you everything you need to know about it.”

📈 MARKETING PLAYBOOK
The food trucks winning online aren't smarter — they're just more consistent.
THE PROBLEM:
Most food trucks treat mobile marketing like a one-time setup: post a few photos, claim a Google listing, then go quiet for weeks. But Google's algorithm and social platforms both reward activity, not effort you made once. A truck that shows up sporadically online looks abandoned to both customers and search engines — even if the food and the hustle never stopped.
HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM: (Think and act with consistency)
Show up on a schedule, not a mood. Post your location, hours, and menu updates on the same days each week — consistency trains your regulars (and the algorithm) to expect you.
Treat your Google Business Profile like a daily chore, not a launch task. Fresh photos, updated hours, and review replies weekly keep you visible in "near me" searches.
Track one small win a week. Don't chase every platform at once — pick one tactic (reviews, Reels, geofencing, whatever), practice it consistently, and stack the wins.
Remember: The algorithm rewards the truck that keeps showing up, not the one that had one perfect week. If you’re not full-time in your food truck, it’s ok. Try to be full-time in one social media account.
⚡ QUICK BITES
• 📰 Industry News: Retention Over Virality
With margins getting squeezed across the food industry, holding onto your regulars is where the real money's at. Folks don't just want a fancy one-time gimmick. About a third (35%) of the country grabs food from a truck every month, and what keeps 'em coming back is knowing they’ll get the same great meal every single time.
If you can standardize prep procedures, ingredient measurements, and plating guidelines to eliminate variations in food quality, it will promote consistency in your quality. Food Truck Industry Statistics & Market Size (2026)
💬 FOOD TRUCK MAILBAG (Q&A)
Q: What do you pay to pull up to a consistent location? - Ashamed-Amoeba-9839
A: Many food trucks will agree it depends on the location and traffic, mostly. If you know how many customers you serve in a day, that is a good factor to determine the maximum price you can pay. You will also need to know the average foot traffic of the location. You know how much business your food truck can do in a day. After some math, you can decide if you’ll make a profit that will be worth the investment.
