WELCOME AGAIN 🚚

Hi! Welcome to this issue of My Favorite Food Truck Newsletter!

Here in the Ozarks, the mornings have a bite to them now. The leaves are turning, and every vendor I know is starting to eye the weather app a little nervously. If that’s you, this issue is for you.

We’re going to talk about something most food trucks handle by going quiet and hoping for the best: the slow season. Spoiler: going quiet is the one move that costs you the most. But first, I want you to meet this week’s Food Truck of the Week, because her story is a good one.

And if you haven’t grabbed PARKED TO BOOKED, our free Google Business Profile playbook, it’s waiting on the Products Page.

🚚 FOOD TRUCK OF THE WEEK
Sip Fusion LLC — Jackson, New Jersey

Her Story:

❝

Sip Fusion LLC is a woman-owned mobile beverage business born from a dream, determination, and a desire to bring people together.

After years of working in healthcare and as a flight attendant, life took an unexpected turn when I was faced with a lung cancer diagnosis. Going through cancer not once, but twice, changed how I see everything. It reminded me how precious time is, and how important it is to chase your dreams instead of waiting for the perfect moment.

So I took a leap of faith and built something of my own. With a lot of hard work, creativity, and support from my family, Sip Fusion came to life.

What started as an idea grew into a mobile beverage business specializing in handcrafted dirty sodas, fresh-squeezed lemonades, specialty coffees, and dirty energy drinks. Every drink is made with personality, quality ingredients, and a whole lot of love.

But Sip Fusion is about so much more than beverages. It's about community, connection, and creating moments of happiness. Whether we're serving at local festivals, youth sporting events, school fundraisers, private parties, or community celebrations, our goal is to make someone's day a little brighter, one sip at a time.

As a small business owner, I take pride in supporting local organizations, giving back to our community, and showing others that it's never too late to chase a dream or start a new chapter.

Sip Fusion isn't just a business to me. It's a reminder that even when life takes an unexpected turn, something beautiful can come from it.

We're just getting started, and I'm incredibly grateful for every person who has supported us along the way.

Sip Fusion LLC — Bringing people together, one sip at a time!

Kimberly Tagliarino

Her setup: A mobile beverage trailer.

Notice the speakers?

Her best sellers: Dirty sodas are the signature, and Kimberly says people go crazy for them. Fresh-squeezed lemonades are right behind. The newest addition is bottled iced lattes: Caramel Dream, Brown Sugar Oat-Milk, and Mocha Dream. The menu also includes specialty coffees and dirty energy drinks.

Where you’ll find her: Local festivals, youth sporting events, school fundraisers, private parties, and community celebrations.

What she’s nailing:

  • A menu with a clear signature item. Dirty sodas set her apart from the lemonade stand down the road.

  • Event variety. Festivals, school fundraisers, and sports events give her several ways to fill a calendar.

  • Giving back. She backs local organizations, and that earns more goodwill than any ad.

  • Content that feels real (more on that below).

Customer line-up pictures are great to share on social media.

Her biggest marketing tip:

❝

Show up as yourself. Real event moments, real customers, and saying thank you beat any polished product shot. Our POV videos of making drinks at events outperform everything else we post.

Kimberly Tagliarino - Sip Fusion LLC

The Takeaway: Read that last line again. A beverage trailer owner tested her own content and found that a phone video from her point of view, making a drink at a real event, beats the pretty product photo. That’s the same lesson Vintage Vixens taught us with their lemonade reel. Two different trucks in two different states, same result. Nobody needs a studio. You need a phone, a busy window, and the nerve to hit record.

You can sit comfortably and enjoy a drink.

📈 MARKETING PLAYBOOK
Cold weather doesn’t kill your business. Going quiet does.

THE PROBLEM:

When the weather turns, a lot of trucks do the same thing. They post less, skip the updates, and wait for spring. Here’s the catch. Your customers don’t stop being hungry or thirsty in November. They just stop thinking about you. By the time you come back, they’ve found somewhere else to go, and Google has decided your profile looks inactive.

HOW TO FIX IT:

1. Go where the people are indoors. Holiday markets, craft fairs, breweries, school fundraisers, and office parties all need food and drink vendors. Many of these fill up early. Email or call the organizers this week, not in December.

2. Sell gift cards now. The holidays are your best excuse to get cash in the door before the slow stretch. If you already use Square, Toast, or a similar system, check whether digital gift cards are built in. A QR code on your truck that links to the purchase page takes five minutes to set up.

3. Update your Google Business Profile. Set your seasonal and holiday hours so people don’t show up to a closed window. Then post a fresh photo or update. Google rewards profiles that look alive.

4. Film the POV. This is straight from Kimberly. Next time you’re slammed, prop your phone up and record your hands making your signature item. Fifteen seconds. No filter, no script. Post it as a Facebook Reel. Do it even when it’s slow, because winter videos of a warm drink or a hot meal are exactly what people scroll for.

5. Collect emails or phone numbers at the window. When you’re off the road for a week, a text or email saying “We’re back Saturday at the same spot” keeps your regulars loyal. Social platforms decide who sees your post. An email list is yours.

Pick one of these, not all five. Do it this week. Next week, add another.

⚡ QUICK BITE
🎁 Thank-you cards beat discounts. Kimberly said “thank you” beats polished posts. Try it: next time you have a great regular or a big event, post a quick thank-you with a real photo. It costs nothing, and people share it.
